QBTrak 2 brings all the accounting export know-how accumulated over the past 8 years into an up-to-date package. We've been slowly rolling out the new iteration to support contract holders and we're excited to see reception of the new package exceed our expectations.

Reasons to upgrade from Sentry to QBTrak 2:

• All the stability of our existing accounting export code-base
• ... but with an intuitive, modern interface
• ... and after a firm degunking
• No more tiny status-log font (mostly no more status log in general)
• Yes, you can resize the export results!
• A sensible e-mail component (even if it does nothing right now)
• Better support in shared environments (think Terminal Server)
• A scheduling function to specify a time span within which QBTrak should execute
• A countdown timer (so there's no more mystery as to when things will happen)
• Introducing the GO Button (why wait at all)
• Informative dashboard with direct access to result lists

Do not upgrade if:

• You are utilizing Peachtrak, Avalara, or any deprecated, non-QuickBooks modules
• You rely on the Credit Hold reports

A quick word about the upcoming Tigerpaw release: Version 12 R2. We're all set for the release and here's what you should know.

QBTrak

• Exempt taxes are treated a little differently in TP12R2 and when creating an invoice for an exempt customer you may receive a message 'Invalid reference to QuickBooks Item Sales Tax "<Exempt>". Simply create a Sales Tax Group in QuickBooks named "<Exempt>" containing your 0% exempt Sales Tax Item and you'll be auto-batching again. Sales Tax Groups can be created in QuickBooks under the Lists [menu] > Item List.

The Portals require an update. Contact support to receive the latest package if you upgrade to TP12R2 or you may experience failure on some pages in the portal.

Other products should continue operating as expected and do not require an update.

Some support for progressive billing has been added to the AvaTax module. Read about this addition in the latest User Guide for Sentry or ask about the details to evaulate if this solution will work for you.

As those of you who attended the 2011 Tigerpaw User Conference already know, we have announced an update to Tantivy enabling the creation of e-mail report subscriptions. This addition will allow the leveraging the information contained in hundreds of existing Tigerpaw reports in a new way: by receiving these reports in your e-mail inbox!

We've been hard at work testing our software against the latest beta version that Tigerpaw provided last week. Everything looks to be in place, but there are some special instructions Tigertrak users need to know.

Sentry users utilizing Avalara, Peachtree, or QuickBooks integrations need not fear! Working closely with Tigerpaw during the first beta release, we made sure that everything important is included in the migration process. You can download the Tigerpaw Version 11 compatible Sentry installation here.

Portal installations must be updated. Contact Tigertrak support to receive version 11 compatible files. If you are utilizing some special featurs, we will need to work with you to migrate some special information. Please notify us if you rely on the following features:

• Shopping Cart

Ignite and Payroll Integrator will simply need to be reinstalled after the database migration.

Update for Sentry with QBTrak

A new stable version of Sentry with QBTrak is available! Version 1.1801 contains all of the updates which had been applied since release 18 became available in February.

Canadian users rejoice! The new stable release contains support for harmonized tax now requried in some provinces. Check back soon if you're curious as to how this all works; we'll be adding an entry on our Trak Tips page soon.

Additional fixes for minor issues have been rolled into this update, so all Sentry users are encouraged to take advantage of this update. Head over to the QBTrak page to get your download now!

The latest release of QBTrak is available for download, now with the Extreme add-on! All existing QBTrak users are encouraged to take advantage of the latest release, and try out the Extreme modules free for 30 days.
